Who is Tolani Balogun?
Tolani started her career in the business and management sector with background training in banking and finance and later studied business management, her first job was in sales with the world-famous shops Harrods Knightsbridge. Tolani later joined the health sector after graduating from the university as a Registered Nurse. She started in the healthcare industry as a Kidney Transplant Nurse, Urology Nurse, Head and Neck Nurse at the Central Manchester hospital, she later proceed to be a Renal Research Nurse, it was after this she took the challenge joining the pelvic floor specialist as a Senior Sister, she work closely with the Colorectal , the Urogynecologist, Urologist and the Gastroenterologist Consultant.
Tolani later became the lead nurse manager for the pelvic floor team at her trust after a lot of experience gained over the years. Her clinic is a soles specialist nurse led and she see patients daily with different kinds of pelvic floor dysfunctions. She gets most of her patient referrals from the colorectal, gastroenterologist, urologist, Urogynecologist as well as General practitioners. She covers a large geographical area in Manchester as well as referrals from consultant outside Manchester such as: Wales, Macclesfield, Wethington, Bolton, Southport, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Cumbria, and Lancashire. She also engage in teaching pelvic floor dysfunction to practitioners, staff nurses, student nurse and organizations within the NHS hospital Trust and outside the NHS hospital such as: private organizations, churches, women organizations, men organization, teenage organization, charities organizations as well as with Ngo’s both in the United kingdom and Africa.
Up till date the pelvic floor dysfunction team is managed and led by her, where she provides holistic patient assessments, reviewed of x-ray to determine the root courses of pelvic floor dysfunctions, medication reviews, alteration to medication, advanced therapy prescribing including Trans anal irrigations. She continues to gain experienced within her team and across the country. She is a registered practitioner and nationally recognized among healthcare professionals for the treatment of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (PFD) a Certified Specialist Nurse.
She continues to learn and self-develop are knowledge and skill in the Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (PFD) industry as a practitioner working side to side her colorectal surgeons and consultants.

It is now my mission to educate, raise awareness and help those suffering from PFD and direct them to get the help they need! It is time to break the Taboo of silence around PFD.
